1940s Solid Pink/ Rose Gold Boy Rolex

Hi Watch Collectors,

Just got back from my business trip again. Just found this piece recently in a old shop. That is the reason why I like to go to old and forgotten towns because they have old shops. You will never know what you can find. I must admit, it is getting harder to find good pieces of vintage watches.

Here is the watch:

A 1940s Boy Rolex in Solid Pink/ Rose Gold. Rolex and many brand watches are bringing back the Pink/ Rose Gold in their recent watches. I like vintage pieces because they simply are rare.

1893 Self Winding Swiss Watch

Hi Watch Collectors,

As we all know, Switzerland holds a leading position in the manufacture of self-winding watches.

In 1893, A self winding watch with reserve power indicator was designed and put into mass production by a swiss watch factory.

Here below is a typical movement used in one of the many self-winding watches made in Switzerland today.

So do not think that automatic and power reserve indicators and many other design was design yesterday or recently. They have been around for ages. Hope you learn something today.

ZENITH - Marine Clock or 8 days Clock

Hi Watch Collectors,

Found this piece on a Vintage Shop, it is a nice marine timekeeper piece or chronometer that is used as a standard portable time to tells its location until the modern era with high tech equipment such as GPS that eventually replaces them.

In Switzerland, only timepieces certified and tested by the COSC and meet certain precision standards may display the word 'Chronometer.'

The brand ZENITH has been around pre-1945 and unlike the many modern brands that are post 1945.

Here are some pictures:

Hope you like it as much as I do. I do collect vintage table clocks are other clocks as well. Especially the French ones.

Is Time for a TAG.........HEUER or TAG HEUER

Hi watch Collectors,

I am in the midst of sorting out the catalogs on used watches and only concentrate on the TAG model this time round. TAG and HEUER were different companies until they consolidated and formed TAG-HEUER. HEUER used to made lots of time keeper pieces. It is interesting once again, a vintage piece of 1960s still commanded a good price in the open market.

Have a guess the value of these modern 2000 era pieces??? Click Here for your guess. Hope your guess is as good as mine.
